About me
Hi, my name is Christine, but most people call me Chris.
I fell in love with hand-building ceramics after winning an Online competition during COVID-19, that provided basic online instruction and a block of clay.
I enjoy the combination and contrast of clean and organic lines with colour, pattern and texture. I've always appreciated art and crafting.
Will I ever develop a 'style'? I've wondered about it, but I enjoy learning and then seeing and feeling where the clay will take me. When I am creating music is always playing in the background. I have no formal training.
My work is sold locally on Instagram and Facebook, to cover expenses and help me progress as an amateur artist.

2022 - 2024 Selected Works
Independent Vision Art Prize- Emerging Artist Award
On the 7th of February, I was awarded the Emerging Artist Award, as part of the the Independent Vision Art Prize for 2026. The Award is presented by Studio on Brunswick and open to all Australian Artists. Over 50 artists and over 100 works were judged by Guest Judge Kate Marek, with the support of the studio's Affiliates and curator-owner Lyne Tilt.

A big thank you Lyne Tilt and to my friends who came to share and support me on this wonderful evening. This award was something I had not even placed myself in consideration for.
